SACRAMENTO – The California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 established a statewide target for greenhouse gas reduction by 2020 and directed the Air Resources Board (ARB) to develop a list of near-term solutions to be implemented by 2010. Pursuant to this directive, the ARB will hold a three-day symposium to explore technologically feasible and cost-effective strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The symposium will promote discussion of new technologies, existing processes and other methods that will reduce in-state emissions of the six major greenhouse gases.
