U.S. Court of Appeals Allows Enforcement of California Low Carbon Fuel Standard

  SACRAMENTO -  Today the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals issued a stay overturning an injunction blocking enforcement of the Low Carbon Fuel Standard.
Air Resources Board Executive Officer James Goldstene issued the following statement:
“Today’s decision allows the Air Resources Board to continue implementation and resume enforcement of this important program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  The Low Carbon Fuel Standard drives investment and innovation, creates new jobs and provides the next generation of clean fuels to all Californians.”

Its mission is to promote and protect public health, welfare, and ecological resources through the effective reduction of air and climate pollutants while recognizing and considering effects on the economy.
