DIAMOND BAR - Representatives of eight states who have committed to a zero-emission vehicle future will make an important announcement on Thursday regarding the number of plug-in electric vehicles registered in the United States. Fittingly, the announcement will be made against the backdrop of the largest collection of individual models of zero-emission vehicles ever assembled in the world, including more than 30 light and heavy duty vehicles and motorcycles.
Included will be an all-electric Harley Davidson motorcycle, Toyota Fuel Cell prototype (to be formally revealed next month at the LA Auto Show), and several first looks at the newest commercially available models including the Tesla Model D and Mercedes B class EV, along with zero-emission trucks and buses.
WHO: Speakers will include Mary D. Nichols (ARB Chairman), David Cash, (Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection) and Kathy Kinsey, (Deputy Secretary of the Maryland Department of the Environment). Representatives of other states and many vehicle manufacturers will also be available.
