California Air Resources Board

CENTRAL VALLEY - On Thursday, July 28, Bakersfield, Fresno and Modesto residents will have the opportunity to meet with local environmental advocates and state representatives to share their concerns and provide input on addressing air pollution and how California will meet its 2030 greenhouse gas reduction targets. 

These meetings are being organized by the Environmental Justice Advisory Committee, (EJAC) with the help of the California Air Resources Board, (CARB).  The EJAC consists of representatives from communities in the state with the most significant exposure to air pollution, including areas with minority or low-income populations. The goal of these meetings is to get input on the state's Climate Plan (known as the Scoping Plan) that is currently being developed to cut greenhouse gases 40 percent statewide by 2030.

WHAT: Public meeting to present major areas of focus of California's Climate Plan and receive input and queries from Bakersfield, Fresno and Modesto residents.

WHO: Environmental Justice Leaders, representatives of the California Air Resources Board, and other state representatives.
