The key programs outlined by legislative mandates include the Toxics Air Contaminant Identification and Control Program, the Air Toxics Hot Spots Information and Assessment Act, the Children’s Environmental Health Protection Act and the Community Air Protection Program. In addition, thirty five air pollution control districts enforce air pollution regulations designed to reduce emissions from business and industry in the state.
