California Air Resources Board

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff invites you to participate in a public kickoff workshop to explore some initial ideas for potential concepts to transition non-truck transport refrigeration units (TRU) – trailer TRUs, domestic shipping container TRUs, railcar TRUs, and TRU generator sets, to zero-emission technology.

At the workshop, staff will present background information on non-truck TRUs, share updates on pre-regulation development outreach and research, and recap the current, known state of zero-emission technology. There will also be a discussion on zero-emission infrastructure. During the workshop, staff will solicit input from owners, operators, and original equipment manufacturers on ideas to transition the non-truck TRUs to zero emission technology as well as on costs, operations, and other related technical information. View the TRU Meetings & Workshop page for more information.
