At a public meeting held on April 25, 2013, the California Air Resources Board approved the Redesignation Request/Maintenance Plan as a revision to the California SIP and submitted this Plan to U.S. EPA on May 23, 2013. Minor updates were approved by the Board at a public meeting on February 20, 2014 and submitted to U.S. EPA on March 25, 2014. The Final Rule redesignating the Yuba City-Marysville Planning Area was published in the Federal Register on December 9, 2014, and became effective on January 8, 2015.
