Application Process

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) will be submitting a joint application and letters of support on behalf of eligible and interested operators for the Federal Railroad Administration's Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements Program (CRISI) funds.
To be included, complete the following forms and submit them to us at locomotives@arb.ca.gov by February 9, 2024 for the Joint CRISI Application.
Applications for the State Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust (VW) program must be completed by the locomotive operator, but staff are available to help.
