Drayage Seaports and Railyards

California’s seaports and intermodal railyards are often located within close proximity to disadvantaged communities, as defined by the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA). Due to their closeness to emissions from drayage activity, nearby communities bear a disproportionate health burden.
Reducing emissions from drayage trucks helps improve local air quality and supports public heath for surrounding communities. Seaports and railyards are encouraged to voluntarily share information about drayage truck activity and participate in efforts to reduce emissions.
The following list highlights California seaports and intermodal railyards where drayage truck activity is present and where voluntary actions can support efforts to reduce emissions and improve community health. This list is subject to change as the business models or operation of the seaport or railyards change.
