Public Workshop: August 25, 2026
On August 25, 2026, CARB hosted a virtual public workshop on the Draft Roadmap to Reduce Air Toxics.
The Roadmap is a high-level plan that will guide CARB's work on toxic air pollution in the coming years. It is intended to help CARB strengthen its scientific foundation, improve coordination with communities and partner agencies, modernize air toxics policies and programs, and respond more effectively to emerging concerns.

Submit a Public Comment
CARB welcomes comments on the Draft Roadmap. Comments received during the workshop and through the public docket will help inform the final Roadmap.
The public comment periods are:
- August 12 - September 16, 2026 (Draft Roadmap and public workshop)
- October 9 - November 9, 2026 (Formal Board comment period)
To make sure your written comment is included in the public record, please submit it through the Roadmap public comment docket.
What Happens Next
CARB staff will review feedback received during the workshop and through the public comment periods. That feedback will help inform revisions to the Roadmap before it is presented to the CARB Board on November 19-20, 2026.
