CARB is working on amendments to the Hexavalent Chromium Airborne Toxic Control Measure for Chrome Plating and Chromic Acid Anodizing Operations (Chrome Plating ATCM). As part of that effort, we are collecting information on facility operating practices, including tank process information, grinding, polishing, compressed air operations, housekeeping, chemical fume suppressants, and other facility information. Information collected from the Survey will help us in evaluating the need for modifying existing or proposing new regulatory measures. The information gained from this Survey will provide us the latest information and technologies, costs, and operational practices used by chrome platers and chromic acid anodizers in California.
